I didn't go up Saturday, but Boyce and Cody did and I was going to go today but they said to wait a week or two as there is only one big dune showing and rid-able right now, so maybe it will be better in a week or two. I hope the water will drop a bit, but maybe they'll save it all for the dry summer... who knows.

I don't expect the water is going to drop at all. It should be at it's lowest pool right now. The warmer it get's the fuller it gets.

Ok so after talking with a few people here are the tentative plans for a ride at koocanusa for my b-day weekend. Friday mar 26th load up and drive to kalispell, meet up with the stitch clan, 27th go to the lake, set camp, ride , drink , and pass out, 28th ride, drink, pass out . 29th load up and drive home. got to iron out some details but that is the tentative plan. Frank need to know if ya got some lawn space to toss a tent on friday night. here is a short list of people that will be going from missoula area . As everyone is short on money right now my thoughts are to do it as cheap as possible IE. dogs and burgers, poss a keg , car pool ( I got Cris, Sarah and Sean covered)
Beth and I
Cris and Sarah
Sean?
Josh and Britany ?
Mark and Sarah ?

Always have room ( big lawn ) . The house is tight right now due to the fact that I have a sis-in-law, niece and 3 little monsters with us until they get set up in their own place. So, was thinking this time we might just want to head straight up to the lake when you get here. It's 60 miles further but we only have to set camp once then.

Looks like I'll be pulling the camper up with my rig and Tom will pull up the 3 place with our machines. I might be dropping said camper on Thursday night to set claim to our camp site.

There's usually a large quantity of wood laying about so don't worry too much about that.

Just in case there's a mix in timing for some reason and we get separated : Take Hwy 93 North to Eureka, Drive through Eureka to Hwy 37 west, about a mile or so I think turn right on Airport Rd. Follow that several miles to Tetrault Lake Rd, turn left . Stay on Tetrault Lk Rd till you hit Sophie lake and turn Right. Follow Sophie to camp site. There's is a fork on sophie so stay to the left. Both forks lead to the sand but the right one can be hard to turn around on.

ok so I think we got everything figured out for the weekend trip. I need to know if i should bring the camp stove. I for sure am bringing my little BBQer because the wife and i plan on eating dogs, burgers, and samiches for the weekend. So far my thoughts are to take off from here around noon on friday but i got to confirm with the steel clan and Sean. Stitch let me know if we are meeting up or if we are just going to head up to the lake and meet up there. I have never been there but your directions look prity easy. Anyways i will touch base with yall on TS Tonight.
Peace

We can meet here in Kalispell at my house, or anywhere for that matter. Figured it'd be cool if we all carovanned up together. Stay tight, claim our area and set up shop. Take a spin, eat drink, take another spin..........etc.

The weather can very well be above the posted expectation due to the fact that the Eureka area is known as the local banana belt. For some reason the weather is always warmer there then even 40 miles down the road.

ON A BOAT MOTHER FUCKER, ON A BOAT!!!
So Koocanusa is now my favorite spot ever, the weather was warm , the camping was sweet, the riding area was of the hook. There was every type of riding you could want all in the same spot. dunes, trails, rocks, mud, tecnical and flat out . Quick thanks to everyone that showed up this was def the best B-day I have had in a long time. Def going back there in the summer and try to get out on the water. (Can beerme's get hurt in water ?) J/k anyways the drive up there is awsome and the total weekend rocked , wish ya could have been there more steely get better so we can go again.
P.S between Sean and I killing a 8gal keg and me being a retard I only got a couple of photoes so please post them up if ya got them .

I'll post some up...I still got snowcamp photo's to post up, I just don't feel like resizing 200+ pictures lol! But I promise I'll get around to it! Anyone know of an image hosting site that resizes them too, for free?

I got tons of pics, still working on getting the sand outta my camera's V, but beyond that it took some great pics, one is my new desktop actually.
