 Re: World in Conflict
Ya this is pretty nice looking game. I think Red would like it too. I know it's a lot different than C N C but at the same time it's a lot the same so ya do the demo Red and check it out.

 Re: World in Conflict
Yea I'd be more inclined to buy this game in a couple of weeks now that I've played the demo. I think once we get used to the game and going at it as a team it's crazy insane fun. Multiple nukes = no good. That's the only part of the game I don't like. Other than that, I do like it a lot.
Again might have to wait a couple of weeks.
See ya.. wouldn't wanna be ya. n'stuff.

 Re: World in Conflict
I need to brush up on the controls as it's been a while since I played but I'm ready to go.

 Re: World in Conflict
I'm lovin the MP, it seems a tad slower overall than I remember, but still plenty of servers and players out there. I hope more beerme's like it and at least try out the demo. If enough of us get it and try it out, we can all use the demo and have a good time. The demo is just like the main game just limited to a small portion of the SP story, and it seems limited by maps on the MP side. So you get a pretty good feel for the overall game.
The demo doesn't support playing with game owners or being involved in game owners' clans either. But there's still the IM feature, buddy list and a couple servers to play on, albiet about 1/300th of what I've found in the main game. There needs to be at least 6 players in a server for it to start playing, so we could do 3v3 or more and use one of the provided demo servers for some BM vs BM action. Even if that's as far as the BeerMe's get as-far-as interest you got to try out something truly different and well executed (imo and for 2007) action rts that is truly as 3d as 3d gets, and strategy that can stay simple or go pretty deep, I learn new tricks and mix abilities every time I play. I've got quite a few hours of MP in this game, beat the SP once, I hope they make a WiC 2 with some improvements, but overall this is on my list of top RTS games right up with the first C&C. It might not be the most original game, but it did many things right. It does have kind of a steep learning curve at first, run thru the tutorial or just mess around in mp, I did both, when I first tried the game back in late summer 2007 it was MP beta and one map, which was fun as hell, but then the BeerMe's and 2142 sucked me in.
Well anyways folks, at least try the damn demo, get it from steam, join the rest of us, if we all like it, those that don't have it can get it and we can have a damn good time. I've never used a nuke, heavy artillery is my weapon of choice as-far-as action points spending goes.
