I could write a huge list of likes and dislikes about this game, bottom line, it's free. FREEEEEE! Love free MMO's and this one has a better feel than most. It's not flawless but most people that don't know much about MMO's especially turn based MMO's will like this game cause it starts out very easy, you can get to know your class and what crafting is all about, get a free mount for a small period of time and even has an auto run if you click on parts of the map or a quest name. Not really all that hard to get used to.

I would suggest those that like a little break in shooting/driving and just like a bit of a slower paced game, a different environment and in depth character development should look into this. http://www.runesofmagic.com.

IMPORTANT INFO:

We've moved to Osha server. This is a Player vs. Environment server. This means you can't get killed by other players just running around. I know on the other server people were getting frustrated, including me, getting ganked by someone 50 levels higher than you.

In addition, Montana Tom, Red, Steely, Vadar and Stitch are all on this server and are having a blast. Me and Vadar taught Red how to be a tank last night with his Knight, and he did a DAMN fine job. Good work Red. I think once everyone starts getting used to how the game works we'll be awesome. We have the opportunity to have some serious fun in Runes of Magic, it's free and we can move at our own pace, and believe me, it's slow and help is always available. Vadar and I are very familiar with these style of games as is Zyonic (but he's on a different server). We can help you with anything you need.

Runes night.

I would like to officially make Wednesday Nights Runes of Magic Nights. This is when those who need assistance can pop on and some of us Higher Level guys can help them. Also running instances, crafting and gathering of supplies.

I think Zyonic has all the money to start the guild. I'm thinking the guild name should be "Alebellies" Kinda like a Medieval BeerMe We can talk that over though.

Also, each house box needs to be opened up to friends. I'm housing Runes/Crystals of all sorts. Red has Weapons and Armor I think, Skitch has Raw Materials for crafting. Once we establish a guild castle and fortify it, we can start housing more stuff in there.

Anyway I'll be on around 6:30pm I think tonight if anyone wants anything, just hollar.

Just kidding, I'm sure you'll get the hang of it just like Stitch and Red. MMO's are very thought heavy and puzzle solving abilities come into effect. For instance, you get a quest, it says Go "here" and find "this" or kill "that". Get this object from this person, and give it to that person. Use your tools the game provides to solve these problems. Read Read and Read. If you don't read everything you might miss out on some really good stuff.

Tools you should know off the bat.
1. M = Map
2. Esc opens Options and Menu's use this to adjust your keys and turn OFF "Click to Move"
3. Tab targets nearest enemy
4. B = Open Back Packs
5. Hot Bars the bars at the bottom of the User Interface. Hit K to hotbar an ability, that ability will be in color is available and RED if not available.

WSAD to move, Right mouse button triggers a "Move Mouse to rotate character" Left Mouse Button pans your camera. Both Mouse Buttons will move your character while drinking a beer with your left hand
